The problem

How many recipes have you already lost this way?

You see them on social, take screenshots, save them to bookmarks… and then they vanish. We've all been there.

Screenshots in your camera roll

Buried under a thousand photos. When you search, you never find them.

Saved on Instagram and TikTok

A sea of videos. Good luck finding that one recipe in there.

Notes scattered around

Between Notes, WhatsApp and chats. Which recipe was where?

Links in the browser

200 open tabs, chaotic bookmarks. Lost.

How it works

Two ways to capture a recipe

Designed for the real places where you find recipes: social and the web. Pick the right one and in seconds it's saved.

📱 From Instagram, TikTok, Facebook

Capture from social

For recipe videos on social: take screenshots of the caption and grab the video link. The link stays inside the recipe, always within reach.

1

You see the video

You're scrolling Instagram, TikTok or Facebook. A recipe makes you want to try it.

2

Screenshot the caption

Take one or more screenshots of the text under the video (ingredients, steps).

3

Copy the video link

Open the "Share" menu → "Copy link". You'll use it to reopen the video later.

4

Open StashRecipe

Upload the screenshots, paste the link. The app reads the text from the images for you.

5

Save. Done.

Recipe in your cookbook, organized. The video link stays there: open it whenever and rewatch the tutorial while you cook.

🌐 From blogs and recipe sites

Import from link

For recipes you find on the web (food blogs, recipe sites, any website). The app reads the page and extracts everything.

1

You find the recipe on a site

On Google, food blogs, any recipe website open in your browser.

2

Copy the URL from the browser

Open the address bar and copy the URL. It's the one that starts with https://…

3

Paste it in StashRecipe

The app fetches the page and extracts ingredients, steps, photo and times.

4

Save. Done.

A structured recipe ready to use, without having to copy anything by hand.

Important: for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook use the Social mode (screenshots + link). The Link mode is only for web pages opened in a browser, not for social videos.

✨ The magic

The original video, always within reach.

When you save a recipe from social, the video link stays inside the card. While you're cooking and want to rewatch how to do that step, just open it.

Structured recipe + original video, together

Open the video directly from the recipe

No more "but where did I see this?"

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between «Capture from social» and «Import from link»?
«Capture from social» is for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook: upload screenshots of the caption + paste the video link. «Import from link» is for websites (food blogs, recipe sites, etc.): paste the URL of the page and the app extracts the recipe. Social links do NOT go into the link mode.
Does it work with Instagram, TikTok and Facebook?
Yes. For social, take screenshots of the caption (the text under the video, with ingredients and steps), copy the video link, and upload them together to StashRecipe. The app extracts the text from the screenshots.
Is the video link saved inside the recipe?
Yes, and it's one of the most useful things. It stays in the recipe card. When you're cooking and want to rewatch how to do a step, open the recipe and click the link — you go straight back to the original video.
Is StashRecipe free?
Yes, it's free in beta. Everything you need to save and organize your recipes is included.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your recipes are private, visible only to you. No sharing with third parties. You can delete your account at any time and all data disappears.
Does it work on desktop as well as mobile?
Yes. It's a responsive web app: works on smartphones, tablets and computers. You can also install it as an app from the browser (PWA).
